Appearance
The body is brownish-silver, the limbs are black with contrasting white stripes on the knees and at the base of the legs. The body size is 5.5 cm, up to 15 cm in the span of the legs.Males mature smaller than females.
Habitat
Haplocosmiahimalayana is native to northern India (Republic of India). It lives at higher elevations along the southern edge of the Himalayan foothills.
Behavior
This spider leads a ground-burrowing existence, weaves a lot of webs.

The lifespan of females is about 12 years.
