Felidae-is a family of mammals in the order Carnivora, colloquially referred to as cats. A member of this family is also called a felid.
Around twice as large as the domestic cat, the jaguarondi reaches nearly 36 cm (14 in) at the shoulder and weighs 3.5–7 kg (7.7–15.4 lb). There are two color morphs—gray and red.

The ocelot is a medium-sized cat with a head-and-body length of between 55 and 100 cm (22 and 39 in) and a 30 to 45 cm (12 to 18 in) long tail. The weight of females ranges between 7 and 12 kg (15 and 26 lb) and of males between 7 and 15.5 kg (15 and 34 lb).
Captive ocelots live for up to 20 years.
Skins of male wildcats from Northern Africa measure 47–59.7 cm (18.5–23.5 in) in head-to-body length with a 26.7–36.8 cm (10.5–14.5 in) long tail. Skins of female wildcats measure 40.6–55.8 cm (16.0–22.0 in) with a 24.1–33.7 cm (9.5–13.3 in) long tail. Both females and males range in weight from 3.2–4.5 kg (7.1–9.9 lb).
Recorded weights vary between 2 and 5 kg (4.4 and 11.0 lb).
